The general eligibility criteria to be eligible to apply for BCA course is 10+2 from a recognised board of education or equivalent, with a minimum of 50% marks in total and also having mathematics as a subject in the qualifying examination. Some colleges such as IGNOU allow non-maths students to seek admission in BCA.
Selection in BCA in the majority of universities is based on a two-step process. BCA candidates are required to appear for skill assessment test. You should score a minimum of 50% in class 12th to do BCA. Some colleges prefer students who have studied mathematics till 12th class whereas there are some colleges which give admission to those who had opted for arts or commerce.
