What is the admission process for BPharma at BPUT?

Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) admission 2025 is entrance-based for the majority of the programmes. Candidates need to appear for an entrance test conducted by BPUT authorities. The qualified candidates are invited for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI) round. Candidates can register online through the official website of BPUT University Orissa.

The university has not released the placement report for the year 2023. However, as per Shiksha review, the the highest and the lowest package offered was INR 10 LPA and INR 6 LPA during the BPUT recent placement drive, respectively. BPUT course is a four-year course that is designed to provide additional qualifications to professional pharmacists. To pursue the BPharma (Practice) course candidates must qualify for the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

• Class 12 in any discipline or equivalent grades from a recognised board Class 12 in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics subjects 
• Candidates must be a registered pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948
• Have a valid score in the OJEE 2025 exam.

Biju Patnaik University of Technology BPharma selection criteria include qualifying the entrance exam. The university accepts the state-level entrance exam Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE), for its undergraduate course. The exam is conducted once every year in the computer-based test mode. The OJEE exam is usually of moderate difficulty level and is easier. 

No, candidates cannot appear for the OJEE exam after completing Class 12 for admission to the MSc course at Biju Patnaik University of Technology. To be eligible for the MSc course candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent or a bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy of four years duration with a minimum 50 % aggregate. Students in their final year are also eligible to apply. There is no prescribed age limit defined for MSc programmes.
