What is the admission process for MSc Biotechnology at Presidency University?

I am assuming you are referring to Presidency University, Kolkata, and not Presidency University, Bangalore, as it does not offer a M.Sc. In biotechnology. Presidency University, Kolkata, is a second major public research university in West Bengal. It offers admission to multiple post-graduate courses, including an M.Sc. In Biotechnology. To apply, you must fulfil the eligibility criteria, which is as follows: You must have graduated with honours or major from a recognised university or institute in any branch of the life sciences that includes Chemistry or you must have graduated in biotechnology. You must also have secured a minimum of 55% marks or a 6.0 grade at the graduation level. After fulfilling eligibility criteria, you will have to apply online on the official website of the university. The application forms for postgraduate courses are usually available in the month of September. After registrations are over, admission will be done on a merit basis, and academic scores will be used to determine the general merit rank (GMR) of individual students and to prepare the general merit list. Allotment of seats or admission will be done based on GMR only (not on category ranks). The score for the merit list will be calculated as per this formula: 75% of the honours or major grade point average plus 25% of the 10+2 grade point average. The total score wise list will be published on official website in order of merit. According to the website of the university, the tentative last date of admission is October 31, 2022.

Master of Science in Plant Biotechnology is full time two year Post graduate degree course. Offered by Presidency University, Kolkata. For the academic session, the Board is going to conduct the Common Entrance Examination PUMDET for admission in to two-year courses in the Presidency University in OPEN quota (Non-PU quota) seats. The candidate must have passed (not before 2019) or appeared in Hons examination from any recognised University. Candidates, who have appeared for their Hons examination and have their final results at the time of counseling will have to mandatory produce all original mark sheets or grade cards of all semester or annual examinations passed at the Bachelors level. Such candidates must fulfill the academic eligibility norms for their applied courses tabled below for admission. Candidates, who have appeared for their final Hons examination, but do not have their final results at the time of counseling, will be given provisional admission, on the basis of production of their mark sheets or grade cards of all previous semester or annual examinations at their Bachelors level. However, they must submit their final mark sheet by 31st August, demonstrating that they fulfill the minimum conditions of eligibility tabled below, failing which their admission will stand canceled. Therefore the candidate must secure the minimum required percentage of marks or CGPA in Hons or major subject as per the following table in his or her Hons examination for final and confirmed admission.
