1. Check for Vacancies: First, confirm if there are any available seats in the desired B.Com specialization (e.g., General, Professional, etc.) for the 2nd year (3rd semester).
2. Verify Eligibility:
   • You must have successfully cleared your 1st year (both semesters) from a recognized institution without any backlogs/supplementary exams at the time of application.
   • The syllabus of your previous college's 1st year should be largely equivalent to MCC's 1st year curriculum.
   • You must meet the minimum academic requirements and potentially a high academic pointer (e.g., 9 pointers or above is often competitive).
3. Obtain Necessary Documents: You will need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and a Migration Certificate from your current/previous college and university.
4. Apply Directly to MCC:
   • Contact the Admissions Department or the Head of the Commerce Department at Mount Carmel College directly. The general online application form is usually for 1st-year admissions only.
   • Submit a formal application for transfer/lateral entry, explaining the reason for the move (e.g., change of residence, family reasons are often considered genuine).
5. Interview and Document Verification: The college may conduct a personal interview (PI) and a document verification process to assess your suitability and academic background.
6. Admission Confirmation: If your application is accepted and seats are available, you will need to pay the required fees to confirm your admission.
