    Institute of Chemical Technology at Mumbai is the most premier institute in this field of studies. It began its operations in the year 1933 and today is a publicly funded Deemed to be university doing immense research in the field of chemical Technology as well as Pharmaceuticals. The admissions at the undergraduate level are done centrally through the Government of Maharashtra department of technical education which conducts an exam called MH-CET for entry into different engineering colleges across the stat. 30% seats of the institute are reserved for all India quota and these are filled up through the merit list of JEE Mains.
