Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the school of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the BSC in agriculture. Eligibility for admission in this course is as follows, 60% in 10+2/Intermediate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Forestry + LPUNEST or 60% in 10+2/Intermediate 10+2 (Agriculture) + LPUNEST OR 60% in 2 year Diploma(Agriculture) after 10th + LPUNEST Age Condition :- Minimum 16 Years (i.e. born on or before last date of admission) 5% to North East states and Sikkim candidates / Defence Personnel and their Dependents/Wards of Kashmiri MigrantsNow you would be saying why I am saying like that, actually my cousin has completed his degree from here only. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR.I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighboring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills. The Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) here in LPU is the applicant need to Qualifying LPUNEST or CUET and pass with 60% aggregate marks in: (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent, Condition of English as a subject may be waived off provided the candidate has studied in English medium.(5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants). And the admission procedure Steps of taking admission Step 1 - Signup: Register onto LPUADMIT with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your email id will act as your username for the portal and password will be set by you while registering on the portal. You will get a mail on your registered email id regarding this. Login to the LPUADMIT with already created username/ password, Step 2 - Application for Admission, Recent Photograph, Date of Birth proof (Matric certificate, Aadhaar card), Qualifying exam Certificate/ Marksheet. Also, if the applicant is claiming scholarship on the basis of Step 3- Apply LPUNEST (for Scholarship): LPUNEST is an online test for scholarship. LPU is a private university. For admission, in any course you need to check its eligibility criteria whi8ch is required to be qualified. Then can come to the campus for the admission process or can visit the office available in India in various cities or can apply online from the website regarding the same.
