What is the admission process of National Institute of Engineering?

Students are accepted by NIE depending on their performance on admission tests like KCET (Karnataka Common admission Test) or COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test).
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for counselling after the admission tests. Candidates will be assigned seats during counselling depending on their choices and rank.
