The upper age limit for admission is 21 years, but there is an age relaxation of three years beyond 21 years for admission to undergraduate courses for SC/ST/BC/MBC/DNC and women candidates. Candidates must have passed Class 12 (Higher Secondary Examination) from a recognised board like Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board, CBSE, or any other equivalent qualification. The admission at Hindustan College of Arts and Science in Chennai is merit based.
