The amount of tuition fee that RMIT University deducts in the event of a refusal when applying for undergraduate courses depends on the application status:
- Application submitted: Deposit minus $5,000
- After programme commencement up to census date: Refund amount (AUD)
- After census date: No refundOther refund amounts include:
- Late enrolment fee: $220
- Foundation Studies withdrawal charges: 50% of the first semester tuition fees
- Visa extension refusal: $500 administration fee

In the event of a refusal while applying for UG courses the RMIT University provides refunds of tuition fees in accordance with its refund policy.
RMIT will provide a full refund to that student, less any administrative fees.
