What is the average and highest package for general MBA student?

It depends on student capabilities. Normally, MBA colleges get average package of Rs 3 lakhs but students who have good capabilities and communication skills will be placed well in MNCs.

SPM had got average package of approximately Rs 7.5 lakhs.SPM comes in good ranking. Go for it.They have 100% placements. -
Last year, we had combined general and E&I batch, so the overall average was around Rs 7 lakhs per annum and highest went upto Rs 17 lakhs per annum.But again it depends on market condition.
