What is the average package offered for mechanical engineering?

Average pacakage cant be said, it differs here many student go for off campus placement , many for GATE . But mechies were selected in Indian Navy and Army , Railways ,even ISRO, few MNCs , Honda and Anglo-eastern.

It depends on the company & your skill & performance during the interview. The average salary package of Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay is approximately 8 to 10 lakh per annum & from IIT Kanpur it is approximately 7.5 to 8 Lakh Per annum, moreover from where you did mechanical engineering. LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd., Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. Etc. LPU Students have been offered International locations like Dubai and Oman by Voltas. LPU is basically an industry oriented university not like the other universities focusing on just making students grasp the syllabus. Many people have their views that LPU students study less but to complete the statement, I would say that the students study less but work hard. The most prominent and wide tech fest for mech students GO Kart takes place in LPU for consecutive years and LPU is bagging the top position in the race. Also, the cars are designed, build and the coordination of the event is done by the mech students only. Placements: There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for placements of mech. students. It varies from 3 Lacs per annum to 12 Lacs per annum. On an average, the placements are 5 Lacs in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your hardwork. My brother has completed B.Tech Mechanical from Lovely Professional University, LPU is helping him grow professionally and personally with its career-oriented programs and support.
