    Average pacakage cant be said, it differs here many student go for off campus placement , many for GATE .
    But mechies were selected in Indian Navy and Army , Railways ,even ISRO, few MNCs , Honda and Anglo-eastern.

    It depends on the company & your skill & performance during the interview. The average salary package of Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay is approximately 8 to 10 lakh per annum & from IIT Kanpur it is approximately 7.5 to 8 Lakh Per annum, moreover from where you did mechanical engineering. LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd., Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. Etc.     As an alumni of LPU, i would say that LPU is the better choice to pursue your engineering. LPU does provide B.Tech in Mechanical. LPU is a better option, in terms of placements, best curriculum, infrastructure, well-experienced faculty, and provides hands-on experience on the latest technologies. Hello, whether it's Automobile or any other branch, duration for Diploma is three years after 10th board. However as per National Education Policy, once a student gets admission, after 12th board, once the students complete two years, they will be entitled to receive diploma.
