So, you have made a good decision if you are thinking of opting for it as a career. For a Mechanical Engineering graduate from LPU, there is no shortage of career opportunities. There are very good placement opportunities available. The university has a good record in terms of placement and good core companies visit its campus. For example, Voltas, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki Ltd, Honda, Nissan Motors Ltd, Volkswagen, Anglo-Eastern Ship Mgt. , Asahi India, Saint Gobain Glass, Rockman (Hero group), Samundra, Indo-MIM, Sandhar Technologies, JK Lakshmi Cement, XL Dynamics, CleanMax Solar, Elgi Equipments Ltd, etc. The highest Package of Rs 7.9 LPA has been offered to students from Mechanical Engineering. Apart from that, an internship is also one of the options which you can take which is allied to the placement process. In this, students can get a chance to get practical work experience of six months with a company in the final year ( upon satisfying eligibility criteria of both universities as well as the company). I don't know about the placement at SRM but I can offer detail about another good university which is LPU, Mechanical Engineering students at LPU are provided with enormous opportunities of placement drives. I can SEE my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology, XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. Companies like Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc. Are prominent recruiters here. LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd. , Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. etc. LPU Students have been offered International locations like Dubai and Oman by Voltas. LPU is basically an industry oriented university not like the other universities focusing on just making students grasp the syllabus. Many people have their views that LPU students study less but to complete the statement, I would say that the students study less but work hard. The most prominent and wide tech fest for mech students GO Kart takes place in LPU for consecutive years and LPU is bagging the top position in the race. Also, the cars are designed, build and the coordination of the event is done by the mech students only. Placements: There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for placements of mech. Students. It varies from 3 Lacs per annum to 12 Lacs per annum. On an average, the placements are 5 Lacs in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your hardwork. So find everything here at LPU and explore as much as you can. Employment of mechanical engineers is projected to grow 5 percent through 2024, while some other engineering focuses will SEE higher employment growth and some will SEE lower or no growth, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. To be honest, I have no information about placement at SRM University. However, because many of my acquaintances attended Lovely Professional University, I conclude that, based on the various placement metrics, Lovely Professional University is unquestionably the most sought-after university by prospective employers. LPU is focused about the students' overall development. It has a specialised Career Services Division that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to place students. Every year, around 550 firms used to come to LPU for job placement. Various external agencies have bestowed High Ranking on LPU, according to my analysis. LPU also takes into account a student's professional interests/pathways, such as corporate jobs, government jobs, higher education, and entrepreneurship. Students are given PEP (Professional Enhancement programme) classes from the starting of the semester. Hope this information is of help.

Honestly saying I don't have any idea about placement in SRM University. But since many of my known had studied in Lovely Professional University, so based on the different placement parameters I analyze that undoubtedly Lovely Professional University is the most demanding University by prospective employers. LPU is concerned about all round development of the students. It's having dedicated Division of Career Services which do work round the clock for the placement of the students. LPU is having tie ups with multiple foreign Universities which provides excellent International exposure under students exchange programme during their studies which in turn definitely helps the students in grabbing multiple job opportunities at the end of their studies. Every year more than 550 companies used to visit LPU for placement purpose. As per my analysis, LPU is conferred with High Ranking by various outer agencies like following, 1) National Employability Award 2020 by Aspiring Minds for the 7th time in a row. 2) Outlook has ranked LPU 5th among top 50 private Universities in India in terms of Placement. 3) Business today ranked among top 100 Private State Universities in India in Placement Performance category. These are very few rankings mentioned above. LPU has procured unbeatable Placement Record with nearly 100 % success rate in most of the courses (Last Year the highest package was 42 LPA). Additionally LPU considers student's career interest / pathway like Corporate Job, Government Job, Higher studies, Entrepreneurship.
