For the last 4-5 years, average salary is around 20K to 23K per month. IITs provide higher salary packages to their students as compared to other engineering colleges in India.

Salary of a computer engineer depends on your skills in computer programming. The average salary is 4-5 LPA. To become a computer engineer, you should pursue B.Tech in computer science branch.
