What is the basic criteria for GBO selection? Do they screw the students during GD/PI process?

No GDPI attempts at screwing up people. GD tests your general awareness, leadership and communication skills and your convincing skills.
As far as PI is concerned, it is up to you how you can handle it. At the most, it may be a stress test so make sure to stay calm throughout. Rest if you prepare well , you should have a good session.
