What is the basic difference between CS and IT Engineering in your college?

IN bit mesra,from our batch of 2k13 ,there is no IT department at all only CS department is here,but there are still two branches Cs & IT.so,if you choose either branch,you will be in the same deapartment.As far as placements are concerned there is no difference between these branches.every student
