What is the basic difference between the PG program in PM & IR and PG in Human Resources
how is the pg programme personnel management and industrial relations different from the pg or mba in human resources and which one is better?

It depends on your goal, MBA in HR is ever green but if you have spesific goal then go for personal mgmt or industrial relation.

Hi,
PG in personnel management and indutrial relations are specific courses while HR is a broader field. So obviously going with HR is a better option.

both are similar, MBA HR has these subjects of personnel management and industrial relations. Only differnece would be first year common subjects like accounts, principles of management etc

Personnel management and industrial relations is more customised for manufacturing industries whereas MBA in HR is skewed towards newage sectors like IT, softwares, Insurance etc where people are treated as capital rather than machines as capital investments.
