    The eligibility criteria for admission to the Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Engineering (BTech) offered by PAU are as follows.

    •  Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks cumulatively.

    • Candidates must pass the 10+2 examination with the mandatory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

    • Candidates must qualify in the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) followed by counseling conducted by the PAU.

    Main Eligibility: 10+2 non-medical group (PCM) or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

    Agriculture and Technology, they consider the student's class 10th and class 12th marks along with the entrance exam marks and prepare a cumulative weightage. And on the basis of the weightage ranks are decided and admission into B.Sc AG, Agricultural Engineering and other courses take place.

    I think there might be other universities that follow this type of selection method.

    The basic eligibility for admissions in BTech in Agricultural Engineering offered by Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is as follows:

    • The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate
    • The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
    • For B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, the candidates have to qualify in JEE Main followed by counseling conducted by PAU
    • Admission shall be made strictly according to marks obtained in 10+2 (with PCM)
