What is the basic eligibility for doing M.A.
i want to be a professor of english language..but m doin btech ryt now..which colleges will offer me an m.a. degree?n what entrance test am i supposed to give?

see to change the line would not be good even then if u want to become eng proff. then do M.A. in english phonetics or literature but phonetics would be good for you as you r doing engneer also then do ugc net and phd M.A in phonetics would be gud as after it u can become pd and English trainer in e

Well coming from a B.tech field, pursing masters in English would be entirely a different field and may cause difficulty. Yet if you are keen to pursue M.A. in English in most of the Universities, the minimum requirement is a Graduate degree from a recognized University. To know about

For a B Tech to become professor of English Language, complete BA English followed by MA English and then M Phil/ PhD through CSIR/UGC NET. So start your dream very early. Else complete your B Tech, start your own colleges and teach English.

You can check with English and Foreign Language Uni Hyderabad. they offer 2 years MA in Teaching of English as Secondary Language however their prerequisite is first class BA with English major

i suggest you please concentrate on your B.tech right now.and nothing else...because no carrier in without graduation.after graduation you can prepare all the competitive exams..if am i wrong please guide me
