    Hi, note that now a days, companies are looking forward for communication skills and lateral thinking. So, for your information, minimum 8.0 GPA should be maintained for a better interview. Thanking you for your time and consideration of my answer.

    Only college management is concerned about marks, as they shortlist students for specific company placements. Update: You don't really need to be in top 10% of your class academic wise. The big companies realize that marks are not a true index to measure your potential.
    Off-campus placements always concentrate on your off-campus skills and other online exam scores such as Elitmus, AMCAT, etc.
