There is no perfect answer for this question. It depends highly on your interests. You can go for good learning Internships. Also, maintaining a high aggregate throughout. Participate in moots maybe. Also, have some extra curricular activities in your CV like organising events, member of cells and societies, sports, etc. An holistic approach will definitely help.

Hard work perseverance while you do your LLB degree. Being active with extracurricular activity like Moot Court, participating in debate society, attending various seminars, attending legal workshop, being active with your legal aid programme within college, makes you more open as a person and you attain qualities like your communication skills, which is a must in a lawyer. Secondly, you must be good with your law, but one can't ignore the academics. Doing lots of internship with your law degree to know practical knowledge of law is best. First of all, it depends on how strong is your CV, how many internships you have done, your percentile, your activities in college plus outside
All these things matter if you want to get placed after the 3rd or 5th year.

It depends upon your field of interest. Though there are certain things you can do to get placed. First, you can go for legal firms, it will help you to start your career as a lawyer.
Second, if want to be an in-house lawyer, you can go for CLAT entrance exam after completing LLB if you score a rank in top 50 then PSUs like ONGC, SAIL, etc., will hire you as their legal advisor with good salary package.
