What is the best way of managing JEE preparation along with class XI and XII studies?

Hello, I am happy to see this query. Lets us try to understand simple basics. JEE is not a demon! It's like any other exam. It also has also some typicalities like other entrance exams. Another myth is the syllabus. Let me state that all boards are already moving towards having the same syllabus. This does not mean having same books or same question papers but the topics to be covered, their nuances, etc. would be same. Hence when a student is studying for his /her 11th or 12th, study for JEE has already begun! What matters is the type of questions that are asked in JEE. State boards tend to ask questions those could be answered in "learning by heart" method. Perhaps because of lack of talent amongst those who are setting question papers or unhealthy competition between boards to show how their students are meritorious by setting relatively straight forward or simple questions. But those students who give importance to understanding concepts find it quite easy to face JEE since "application of concepts in solving" type of questions that are asked in it. I would advise students to understand concepts at each and every stage of their learning during their 11th / 12th so that they do not have to spend too many efforts. Of course, it goes without saying that one must try to learn tricks and techniques of answering questions. This too goes a long way in scoring handsomely in any and all exams.

The best way for the preparation of JEE Mains along with boards is through linking their syllabus. What one needs to know is the common aspects from the point of view of both the exams. Most of the time, students make mistakes and study the same topic thrice from Mains perspective followed by Advanced and boards exams. For that, take an example of thermodynamics, first read your school textbooks thoroughly then go through with your coaching notes and ask all the doubts related to your topic. After that, go through your textbook questions, both subjective and objective. From boards only, one has covered a lot of Mains topics because the study pattern for board involves complete analysis of the topic from root till the top. Now, after going through boards, solve the mains MCQs if required. Then solve your coaching or practise material for Advanced and try to relate every single topic with boards. Please do not write your high-level solutions in the boards. Keep it simple and to the point. The above process needs hard work but is the most used and preferred method. Thank you. Best of luck.

If your primary focus is on boards then you should work hard to manage the JEE preparation. If JEE is your main priority and you have joined any coaching centre then you can easily score good in boards just by joining extra classes conducted by IIT JEE coaching institutes. You should follow these points to tackle JEE along with board: 1.Focus on maths and solve questions from Cengage book and sheets provided by various coachings.Never leave miscellaneous questions of NCERT. 2.Ncert chemistry is enough for both board and JEE. You should make your own notes by studying each and every line of NCERT book. You can prefer RC Mukherjee for physical chemistry. 3.For physics, Solve HC problems right from the beginning. 4 .Try to study on chair and table. 5. Don't play outdoor games as this may drain your energy. 7. Study daily and say good bye to social media. 8. Try to wake up early and avoid night study. 9. In last three months solve previous years problems.You can also join test series of any coaching institute. 10. You can buy video lectures of coaching institutes or take help from youtube. Listen soft music if you get bored. JEE requires hard work along with smart work.So always try to focus more of important topics and leave the less important topics. All the best!
