What is the best way to get a job in software industry in India?

Hi Raj, Most important is being a good programmer. Otherwise, big private players would not employ you. They look for programmers with good mathematics background. I am not sure how good you are with Mathematics and programming. If you are, then you must pick up a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like I mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with other MCAs and B.Tech (CS) applicants. So choose your internship/ industrial training very carefully. Do not just go for the cheapest to save money. See the IT Company’s credentials on the net. If the company is registered with STPI (Software Technology Parks of India), all good IT companies are registered with STPI. If a company spends money to market themselves to customers, only then they are able to get LIVE PROJECTS. Also, if you are an average programmer, and if you're better with creative work, then you can head for web design, games design and games programming/ development or even VFX/ animation, since there is a huge requirement coming up in that domain. Hi Raj, You are doing good but I would suggest to take courses on software as well. PHP, JAVA, ASP.NET as these courses have a lot of potential in software market and IT industry.

You need to choose any famous, powerful and high level language to increase your chances of getting a job in good industry. If you are a good programmer, only then you can get job in software industry. So, you can learn any of these programming languages. Hence, you can get a decent job in software industry. Thanks.

Hi Raj, If you have 1st division scores in 10th, 12th and graduation as well and you think you can score the same in MCA, then enroll yourself in AMCAT and ELitmus exams. IT companies make use of AMCAT and Elitmus scores to shortlist candidates and invite them for recruitment process where usually you will have technical and HR interview and may be GD.
