Best alternative shall be to get oriented to specialized short term courses like Piping Engg, Pressure Vessel engg, Engineering Inspection & Quality Control, Project management. This will add to your specialization. Industries need such people.

You can go for Btech lateral entry or BSC is also a good option today

As you have done your diploma, you can try for Lateral entry by giving LEET exam. However, the eligibility may vary from institute to institute, as different institutes have different eligibility criteria.
