    Candidates must have passed the 12th standard with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible. The gateway to this undergraduate degree is through entrance exams HPCET or JEE. HPCET is a state-level exam conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University for BTech Admission 2024.

    MBA Bachelor's degree with 50% marks in aggregate in any discipline

    The B.Tech admission criteria at Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) are as follows:

    1: Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics Mathematics and one of the following subjects: Chemistry Biology Computer Science, Electronics, or Biotechnology.

    2: They must have secured a minimum of 45-50% marks in aggregate in the Class 12 examination. 

    3: Candidates must have appeared for JEE Main and HPCET.

The HPU Cutoff 2024 was out for all round and categories for the NEET SS entrance exam for admission to DM/MCh/DNB courses. The lowest rank to get into HPU is 2322,  according to the closing cutoff in the last round in 2024 for the General AI category quota.

The cutoff was published in the form of opening and closing ranks for the All India category quota. The cutoff ranged from 48048 to 53652 in the first and last round for the General AI category candidates. Th HPU NEET MDS Cutoff 2025 was released for all categories under the All India quota. For the OBC AI quota, the closing cutoff ranged from 333 to 524 in the last round. Among all the MDS course specialisations, the hardest was MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with a cutoff rank of 333 for this category. In 2024, the cutoff rank for this course was 462, meaning that the competition has now increased for 2025.
