    After clearing the PCS-J exam, you get posted as a Civil Judge (Junior Division) in your state. It is the post of a second-class judicial magistrate. Later on, with the recommendation of the district or session judge, you get posted as a judicial magistrate of first class.
    1. The first official promotion a civil judge from PCS J gets is that of additional civil judge (senior division), which is later promoted to chief judicial magistrate.
    2. The further promotion is to the post of Additional District Judge.
    3. With further advancement, you can become a district judge or a session judge (in some cases, both).
