What is the career prospect after clearing PCS-J?

After clearing the PCS-J exam, you get posted as a Civil Judge (Junior Division) in your state. It is the post of a second-class judicial magistrate. Later on, with the recommendation of the district or session judge, you get posted as a judicial magistrate of first class. 1. The first official promotion a civil judge from PCS J gets is that of additional civil judge (senior division), which is later promoted to chief judicial magistrate. 2. The further promotion is to the post of Additional District Judge. 3. With further advancement, you can become a district judge or a session judge (in some cases, both). 4. The next promotion is to the post of Registrar of the High Court. 5. The registrar of the HC is promoted to the post of High Court judge after 5 years of service. You need a minimum of five years of service at each post to be considered for promotion.
