    In India, the MBBS course includes a mandatory rotational internship, which is essential for medical graduates. This internship offers practical experience across various medical fields and is required for obtaining the MBBS degree and practising medicine in India.

    The purpose of the rotational internship is to prepare medical graduates to serve as the first point of contact for patients in the community. It must be completed within two years of passing the final MBBS/FMGE/NExT examination, whenever applicable.
