Cornell University received over 65,000 applications for the admission cycle of 2024-25, of which the university only accepted about 5,500 students. The number of enrollees on the other hand stood at 3,500. These statistics suggest that the Cornell University acceptance rate is around 8.4%, making the admission criteria of the university extremely selective.

The number of international applications received on the other hand was almost 17,000, of which 580 students were offered admission. This means that the Cornell acceptance rate for international students is even lower, at just 3.4%, making the competition extremely diffcult.
