What is the Counseling process for getting admission into M.Tech?

Just like JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, GATE exam qualifiers also need to go through a counselling procedure. The main steps that are followed here include: Online registration: In this step, the candidates who are GATE qualifiers need to register themselves in CCMT and COAP. Once the registration is done, the candidates need to pay the counselling fee online and confirm their registration. Post this, the candidates are allowed to fill the program of their choices as their institutions. Seat Allotment: In this step, the seat is allotted to the candidates based on the merit. Report to college: Once the seat is allotted, the candidates are asked to visit the institute to pay the fees. In this step, the documents of the candidates are also verified. Candidates taking admission in IITs need to go through the interviews and group discussion test and basis the performance the seats are allotted. I will recommend to all candidates appearing for GATE Exam 2020 that before they fill up the GATE Application Form; they should be well-acquainted with the exam pattern and process.
