What is the criteria for GATE? How to prepare for GATE?
I have passed B.E in 2011 - 57% and to apply in PSU 65% is the minimum requirement.

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE :
- Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) with minimum 60% and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
- Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
- Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.

Well its not possible for you to apply GATE 2014 on basis of 57 %.
but if your universities will allow you to appear for final year exam just to increase your percentage this is the only thing you can do.
BUT it happens only in few universities with some "terms & conditions".
you should ask your university for this kind of arrangement to increase percentage.
