What is the criteria for IAS?
I had two year gap in my career after my 12th. I am pursuing B.Tech (CSE) (second year).

Hi,
* UPSC examination is conducted every year. On the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
To be eligible for IAS exam :
- You need to pass graduation in any field from ANY recognized University.
- You are eligible if you are in the final year of gradua

You can apply for IAS exam after your graduation however UPSC doesn't has Computer Science as a subject to in engineering to conduct IAS exams as the CS syllabus keeps on changing as per market requirements.
You can only apply with the convensional subject in engineering i.e., Mech, Electrical, Civi
