What is the criteria for selection to PhD programme at MU?

<p>Candidates seeking admission to PhD are either required to appear for PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the university for admission. Also, those with a valid score in NET/ SET/&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam">GATE</a>/ JRF examination of the apex bodies in such as&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/exams/csir-net-exam">CSIR NET</a>/&nbsp;<a href="https://www.shiksha.com/exams/ugc-net-exam">UGC NET</a>/ ICAR for admission are exempted from the PET conducted by MU and are offered admission on the basis of these afore-mentioned exams. As part of the eligibility criteria, students must have completed their masters' degree with at least 55% aggregate.&nbsp;The selection procedure for the PhD admission at MU is as follows:</p><p><strong>Step 1:</strong>&nbsp;The candidate's application form is screened and shortlisted based on students' academic record and research aptitude.</p><p><strong>Step 2:</strong>&nbsp;The shortlisted candidates are then called for an interview and the final selection is based on their performance in the interview and the PET/ other relevant accepting entrance exam.</p>
