Eligibility Criteria for UPSEE for Lateral B.Tech entry :
1. Lateral Entry to the Second year (Third Semester) in any branch of Engineering/ Technology :
-Diploma holders or B.Sc. Graduates who have passed XII standard with Mathematics as one of the subject are eligible.
-Such students must have passed from the institutions affiliated to GBTU, Lucknow and M.T.U., Noida.
2. Lateral Entry to the Second year in any branch of Engineering/ Technology :
-Candidates with a minimum of 45% in a 3 year Engineering Diploma from an Institution located in U.P (40% for SC/ST)

To be eligible for UPSEE, you must :
- have passed the UP Intermediate examination or 10 + 2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- have secured at least 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST) in the requisite subject combination of two compulsory subjects and one optional subject.
- have secured the requisite minimum percentage without any grace marks
