    Hi Roni,
Eligibility to appear for bank PO exam is,
    - candidate should be 20-30 years of age.
    - Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification.
After clearing PO exam you will be appointed by about 19 participating public sector banks recruit their POs/MTs through this exam.
The scores are used by a few other Banks and Financial Institutions like IDBI Bank, ECGC etc for selection for entry level Officers' posts.
Bank PO jobs usually have an entry-level package of Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000, with attractive perks.
Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. Click on the thumbs up if you found this useful.
