Rashmi, If your son's creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. However, at this age i'd start with a good sketching school or diligent self learning (self learning is more costly since you need live models to do this study). Very few sketching schools do good Life Art training, so you have to really hunt for that. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose. Let him join a neighbourhood computer institute for a basic course in animation. And give him a PC with Internet to start exploring. But keep an eye on his Internet surfing.

There are many degree, diploma, certificate courses available. You may opt for the one which matches your interest and time availability.
To pursue animation course you need to pass 12th in any stream. Good drawing and sketching skills along with strong imagination and visualization are added skills required to become an able animator.
