What is the criteria to pursue Game Design? What is the scope?

Hi, Thanks for the tag. -> The basic eligibility to join gaming course is to pass 12th in any stream from recognized board. You may even join after graduation. -> Game designing is increasingly been seen as a serious career option. There are many well known game companies in the market such as Csharks ltd., Smackall, Synapse etc. With the advancement of technology, many career options in game designing are opening up, such as : -Game Designers -Game Programmers -Game Developers -Game Testers -Animators It is one of the most complex parts of software development. Raj, As you wait for your answers, here is some advice. If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling, texturing and lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose. Go speak to people over there and see if you like their philosophy and they change your perspective.Try their website for more details. Also remember that Animation requires good mentoring. Typically go for a school which offers all the information including faculty on their website.
