Kerala University BSc (H) syllabus is divided into semester- pattern. The university provides only a single medium of teaching, i.e. English. During the three-year duration, students are required to study following courses:
- Foundation courses are grouped into 4 major categories namely Ability Enhancement courses (AEC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Value Addition Courses (VAC) and Multidisciplinary Courses (MDC)
- Discipline Specific Major
- Discipline Specific Minor/Multidisciplinary
- Research Component with dissertation, internship & field surveys
