For IIM, Ahmedabad cutoff will be over 80 percentile but admission depend on various criteria 10th marks, 12th marks, graduation marks. It requires minimum 70% in three sections and overall minimum 80%.
Other IIMs focus on CAT score, while IIM, Ahmedabad also choose top 50 students from each course out of the CAT applicants to appear for second round of admission. -

7 years agoWell, for IIM A, one should have good curriculum percentage throughout 10+2 and graduation. And, with work experience, you have good chances. Score well in CAT exams at least above 95%. -
The cutoff is different for almost all candidates as they have different profiles. It also varies from college to college and level of difficulty of exam. However, a general trend is CAT cutoff for old IIMs and top B-schools such as FMS (University of Delhi), MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR Mumbai, etc. goes over 99 percentile.- New IIMs including IIM Sambalpur, IIM Ranchi, Raipur, Rohtak, Udaipur, Trichy and Kashipur and other top B-schools have cutoff 90 percentile and above.- B-schools belonging to tier two to four range from 80 to 50 percentile.

Firstly, shortlisted candidates will be called for Academic Writing Test and Personal Interview based on percentile/ score obtained in CAT/GMAT, class 10th marks, class 10+2 marks and graduation marks.
Then final selection is done on these basis.
