What is the cutoff of IMS BHU?

Institute of Medical Sciences BHU does not offer direct admission. IMS BHU primarily relies on national-level entrance exams like NEET-UG for undergraduate programs (like MBBS and BSc Nursing) and NEET-PG, NEET-SS, and NEET-MDS for postgraduate and super-specialty courses. After qualifying the relevant entrance exam, candidates must participate in the counseling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. 

Institute of Medical Sciences BHU has affordable fee structure. The fee structure of the programme ranges between INR 10,000- INR 1.67 lakh. The fee structure of IMS BHU is a combination of various components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, and other security deposits, etc. Candidates need to pay the course fee as per the frequency set by the college.

Over the past three years, the cut-off ranks required for IMS BHU BDS admission have shown a declining trend. In 2024, the closing rank for the last round of BDS admission was 28,901 for the General AI category candidates. The same was 25,669 in 2023 and 23,284 in 2022. This indicates that getting admission to the BDS course of IMS BHU became comparatively easier over the last three years. The IMS BHU BDS cut-off varies yearly. It further varies depending on the reservation category and admission quota (All-India/Home State) of the applicants. In 2024, the closing NEET UG rank at which BDS admisson concluded for the General AI category candidates was 28,901. For OBC category candidates, the NEET UG last round cutoff ranks was 31,523, within the All India quota. Candidates willing to get a BDS seat at the institute must aim at securing a rank better than the previous-year cut-off as per their reservation category.

Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) BHU and Government Dental College and Hospital (GDCH) Aurangabad are two government institutes offering BDS courses at the UG level.
