    The "Diploma Common Entrance Test" is a test to which various branches of K.S. Group Institutions (including K.J. Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology) have adopted to usher in students seeking B.E./B.Tech courses. The cutoff changes every year depending on: 

    - Number of applicants
    - Difficulty level of exam
    - Category of candidate (General, SC/ST, OBC, etc.)
    - Seats available in the specific branch

    K.S. Group of Institutions admit students based on the cutoff of this examination, but this is not fixed because it depends on various conditions like number of students, number of available seats and the toughness of the examination conducted by the DCET. But to give more context of the general idea of the cutoff ranks, students aspiring to get into K.S. Group of Institutions should expect that previous year cutoff ranks were approximately within the range of 5,000 to 10,000 for general merit applicants.
