A PG diploma is a shorter qualification than a masters degree, although at the same academic level. In most of the universities, a masters degree is of 180 credits while a postgraduate diploma is 120 credits. MMS/MBA degree is awarded by the university to which the college is affiliated. Whereas, PGDM is awarded by the institute /college. Many organisations don't consider both the courses at par. Thus, its always better to pursue MMS/MBA.
