5 years dual degree programme combines the courses of B.Tech / BE and M.Tech / ME, whereas regular B.Tech is a 4 year course. If you wish to pursue M.Tech, after regular B.Tech, you need to spend another 2 years adding to a total of 6 years whereas you get the same qualification in just 5 years with
