The MS degree is typically a 2-year programme focused on advanced teaching of concepts of Engineering. Mechanical Engineering is the traditional field of engineering that deals with the design, manufacture, and operation of machinery. Mechatronics on the other hand is a relatively new field which combines mechanical engineering and electronics to create machines that are more complex than those in traditional mechanical engineering.
