MBA is provided by universities or colleges affiliated to a university. They follow an academic curriculum as prescribed by the university. Post Graduate Diploma courses are normally offered by B-Schools that are mostly autonomous. These institutes may prepare their own syllabus. Post Graduation programs in Business Management are considered equivalent to MBA in industry. If you aim at academics and further studies in management area like PhD then you may consider MBA or programs.
