Dear Kamlesh,
Universities tend to offer full undergraduate and graduate programs, meaning there are multiple schools within its system. For example, a university typically has a school of arts and sciences and a school of engineering, in addition to other programs. Colleges offer more limited options and often don't offer master's programs with few exceptions. -
A smaller institution that usually offers undergraduate degrees is considered a college. In contrast, an institution that offers both undergraduate and graduate degree is considered a university. They offer undergraduate programs that will lead a student towards a master's degree or a doctorate. While college and university have come to mean the same thing colloquially, they actually refer to two very different institutions: College is typically a smaller, goal-oriented institution that offers only undergraduate programs.
