What is the difference between a University of Applied sciences( Fachhochschule) and a Technical University (Universität) in Germany?
Hi,
I am planning to pursue my masters in Computer Science in Germany. My aggregate is 73.3 and I have 8 months work experience as a Software Developer. I wanted to know how exactly these two types of universities differ in terms of job prospects.
Thanks in advance :)
Yes, there is difference, as applied science is nothing but the engineering and technology is different from engineering, technology makes the engineering better i.e. a better design. Science then application of science & then technology for the betterment of application of science, this is the correct sequence. You can now understand a technical university is what where we study both engineering and technology on a major scale i.e. more and more experimentation and then inventions and so on. You can now understand a technical university is what where we study both engineering and technology on a major scale i.e. more and more experimentation and then inventions and so on. Applied Science university deals with basic engineering trades and that university may also have ideas for the betterment of old designs (technology) but that is a university which deals with old fashioned engineering. Now in India we understand and usually think (Misconception) equal all the four years programs related with engineering. For example BE=B Tech is a misconception, but B Tech is advancement of what we had in old days i.e. BE. Now as technology is betterment of engineering thus B Tech is obviously better than BE. But don't take it seriously as in our country most of the people don't understand the difference and thus no problem. Although, both the two types of graduates can improve, advance and proceed for a better future, using the same technology and under the same tag "Engineer". If you think it is a perfect answer then choose it best answer. Thanks. Choose a technical university in Germany. Best of luck. Regards.
