    The main responsibility of an accountant is to provide an accurate and real-time record of the financial transactions of an individual or organisation. He or she needs to be aware of all of the necessary compliance guidelines during these transactions. A chartered accountant instead will focus on providing accurate records of all financial transactions for an individual or business. Thus, this type of accountant is more likely to be found employed in a more commercial capacity.
