What is the difference between advocate and lawyer.

Dear Sir, A lawyer is someone who is a graduate in law. A person who has been to law school and has an LL.B. Degree. A lawyer cannot practice in courts. An Advocate is someone who is enrolled in any of the State Bar Councils in India. Once a lawyer exists on the roll of the State Bar Council and Bar Council of India, he/she will become an Advocate.
