What is the difference between advocate and lawyer.

Dear Sir, A lawyer is someone who is a graduate in law. A person who has been to law school and has an LL.B. Degree. A lawyer cannot practice in courts. An Advocate is someone who is enrolled in any of the State Bar Councils in India. Once a lawyer exists on the roll of the State Bar Council and Bar Council of India, he/she will become an Advocate. This enrollment is a license to practice/appear in courts. If you want to kick start a successful career in law, it is important to get admission into a good law college. There are a number of top law colleges in India that you can apply for, but you should know the admission process. Most of the colleges or universities that offer courses in law have their own entrance examinations. One of the most recognised examinations is CLAT which stands for the Common Law Entrance Test.
