Aeronautical Engineering is concerned with design and operation of aircraft, missiles, and space vehicles. Aeronautics is the design, development, analysis, testing, and production of aircraft for military or civilian markets. Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft. As flight technology advanced to include craft operating in outer space, the broader term "aerospace engineering" has largely replaced aeronautical engineering in common usage.
