What is the difference between AICTE and UGC? What is its value for B.Tech degrees?

Any of the following whether People, companies or the institutional bodies for higher degree all around the world will never discriminate between AICTE or UGC approval. For sure, Being both accreditation is a plus point but while comparing both will not lead to a conclusion as both are authorised Indian government. Bodies running on their approved norms and policies and are working great in their respective domains.

Dear Ulfat, AICTE and UGC are two apex organisations that cater for the higher studies in India. One of the main differences between the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC), is that the former one basically deals with technical education. The AICTE is only a statutory body, which deals with co-ordinated development and proper planning of the technical education system in the country. AICTE takes care of the updation of the syllabus and technicality of the institute. While UGC is under Ministry of Human Resources and it gives ranking and takes care of the discipline of the institute.
