    The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is the statutory body and a national-level council for technical education, under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development.
    AICTE is the regulatory and development authority in the field of engineering and technical education(Pharmacy , Hospitality , Management etc.) in India . AICTE has power to give and cancel approval for engineering, hospitality, Pharmacy and management colleges.
    But engineering, management, hospitality, pharmacy courses, conducted by universities including state / central, deemed / private university does not require AICT
